Aberdeen Music Box now in the Studio!

The SPL Music Box project at Aberdeen FC launched towards the end of 2011 has now moved into the recording studio in the city centre. In partnership with Aberdeen Foyer Music, young Don’s fans aged 12-18 had the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments and recording skills here at Pittodrie Stadium on Tuesday evenings in a fun and friendly environment. With the progress that has been made in a relatively short space of time, sessions are now staged in the studio where individuals and groups have access to a wider range of musical equipment and have the opportunity to record their work.

Proclaimers Launch Music Box with Hibernian Foundation

Yesterday, Music Box was launched at Hibernian Foundation with the help of veteran local duo The Proclaimers. Showing their support for the project, the guys took part in a photoshoot and media launch to help encourage young people to sign up and take part in the project at Easter Road.

Music Box will commence at Hibernian on Wednesday 22^nd of February. Sessions will take place at Easter Road Stadium, offering young people the chance to try their hand at a range of musical instruments including drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals.

Aberdeen Star Rory Fallon Attends Music Box!

Throughout the October holidays, a group of young people have been attending Music Box at Aberdeen FC, trying their hand at a range of instruments including guitar, drums, bass, vocals, keyboards, DJing and MC.

On Wednesday, the group were then treated to a surprise visit from AFC's very own music maestro Rory Fallon. Rory gave the youngsters a little taster of his own musical talents before giving the guys a helping hand at developing their own musical ability.
